Founded in 2013 by Dr. Pamela Hurst-Della Pietra, Children and Screens: Institute of Digital Media and Child Development is a 501C(3) non-profit organization dedicated to understanding and addressing the implications of digital media on child development. Through a robust blend of interdisciplinary dialogue, public information, and rigorous, objective research, the Institute bridges medical, neuroscientific, social science, educational, and academic communities to collaboratively address pressing questions regarding media’s impact on children and adolescents.

From insightful webinars during the COVID-19 pandemic to awarding research grants on the effects of digital media consumption, the Institute consistently champions an objective, inclusive, and integrative scientific approach, fostering collaborative achievements to understand and shape the role of digital media in children’s lives.
