Henry A. Willis, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Willis received his B.S. in psychology from Howard University, his M.A. in clinical psychology from Columbia University, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UMD College Park, Dr. Willis founded and directs the Cultural Resilience, Equity, and Technology Lab, which explores the relationship between online and offline racial discrimination and mental health outcomes, seeks to understand sociocultural protective factors and how they impact psychopathology among African Americans, creates cultural adaptations of evidence-based treatments, and utilizes mobile-health technology to increase access to mental health treatments for underserved populations. Dr. Willis also assists in clinical training at the HOPE Center, a free mental health clinic in Harlem, New York.
