Liselot Hudders, PhD

Dr. Liselot Hudders is a full professor of persuasive communication and marketing ethics at Ghent University, Belgium, and the director of the Center for Persuasive Communication. Her research examines the impact of digital media on children’s lives and the importance of digital empowerment, with a focus on influencer marketing and kidfluencing. In 2024, she has been awarded with an ERC consolidator grant to further study the kidfluencer phenomenon. She has published in leading advertising and communication journals, earning several awards for her research and valorisation initiatives. Dr. Hudders is also a board member of the European Advertising Academy and serves as associate editor for the International Journal of Advertising and the Journal of Interactive Advertising.
