Marisa Gerstein Pineau, PhD

Marisa Gerstein Pineau is the Director of Research Application at FrameWorks, where she draws on her deep understanding of reframing research to lead strategic framing efforts across a range of issues, such as adolescent development; economic justice; health equity; and education. Her deep and ongoing partnerships with advocates, researchers, and funders across various fields lets her reframing insights and guidance that build and connect communicators’ framing capacity. A sociologist by training, Marisa’s earlier research focused on gender and family, immigration, and policy. Marisa holds a BA from the dismantled New College of Florida, and an MA and PhD from UCLA.
