
Matías Dodel, PhD
Matías Dodel is a Sociologist (PhD, MA, BA) and Psychologist (BA) specializing in the Information Society, public policy, digital inequality, and cyber-safety. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences, Universidad Católica del Uruguay (UCU), where he leads the Uruguayan chapters of the World Internet Project, DiSTO Project, and Global Kids Online. He has consulted for UNICEF, UNESCO, and AGESIC- the Uruguayan government’s e-government agency, coordinating the National Statistical Office’s official ICT surveys (EUTIC: 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019). His work has appeared in Telecommunications Policy, Computers in Human Behavior, Information, Communication and Society, and others.
