Ran Barzilay MD, PhD
Ran Barzilay, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His research examines factors shaping health and development in youth exposed to stress, clarifying risk and resilience mechanisms underlying variability in physical and mental health trajectories. Dr. Barzilay’s research focuses on modeling the exposome, including environmental and lifestyle factors, and their biological embedding. He is particularly interested in the growing role of the digital exposome, which encompasses online and technology-related exposures, to pediatric health outcomes.
