Michael Robb, PhD
Michael Robb, Ph.D., is the Head of Research at Common Sense, where he leads efforts to understand how media and technology shape the lives of children and families. He has guided research projects on everything from screen time and digital well-being to how technology can support learning and connection. Mike’s work has been published in leading academic journals and highlighted by The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, and other major outlets. For more than 20 years, he has been deeply engaged in issues at the intersection of media, technology, and childhood—serving as Policy Lead for Child & Youth, Trust and Safety at YouTube, and as Director of Research and Education at the Fred Rogers Center. Mike holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Riverside.
