Samantha Schmidt
Samantha Schmidt is a youth advocate and speaker focused on the intersection of technology, digital well-being, and youth mental health. She serves as the Lead Events Intern for Digital4Good and the #ICANHELP movement, where she helps organize events and elevate youth voices that promote positive and responsible technology use. Through this work, she has contributed to conversations on digital citizenship, online safety, and the role young people play in shaping healthier digital communities.
At her school, Samantha is the founder and treasurer of the first Speech and Debate Club, where she leads students in developing public speaking, critical thinking, and civic dialogue skills. She is also a youth basketball coach in her community, mentoring younger students and helping them build confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
Samantha is particularly interested in how digital environments influence empathy, character development, and mental health among adolescents. She is passionate about ensuring that youth perspectives are included in discussions about technology and about empowering young people to help create more supportive and responsible digital spaces.
